Located along Iowa Highway 191, this small concrete slab bridge crosses an unnamed tributary of Mosquito Creek.
Built in 1910 to replace an older bridge, the bridge features two concrete slab spans, set onto concrete substructures. Also known as a concrete pile trestle, these types of spans were highly regarded by railroads, due to the durability and ease of construction. Oftentimes, many would even be prefabricated offsite, although it appears this one was cast in place.
It appears that the bridge is maintained, with newer concrete patching visible throughout the structure.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition, with some deterioration to the bridge.
The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
